WEATHER CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL SEASON IN TURKEY
Turkey has four seasons with all kinds of climates geographically. This creates an advantage for visitors to experience all four seasons with different type of holiday in different parts of the country. While swimming in the west, you may be skiing in the east part of the country! While you are freezing in the north part, you may be warm in the south. So, timing is important to travel Turkey to arrange your trip based on the activities and destinations you want to cover.
Best season for expeditions is from the end of June to end of September. The sailing tours in the Mediterranean are best from the beginning of May to the end of October. Winter tourism starts mid December and lasts till mid March. Springtime is good for all activities except swimming and mountaineering. Summer time is not good for South East part of Turkey since it’s so hot. The best time to visit this part is spring or autumn. Black Sea has different beauties in four seasons. The best time to visit Black Sea starts from April and ends by November if you are not interested in winter tourism.
TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN
The minimum age requirement for childern varies based on the tour. You need to check tour details for minimun age requirement. Infants are free in our tours. Children aged from 3 to 6 years of age traveling on an escorted group tour in Turkey with two accompanying adults will receive a discount of 50% off the full rate. Children aged from 6 to 12 years will receive a discount of 25% off the full rate.The child discount cannot be combined with other discounts. At the time of booking, whichever discount is the highest will be applied to a booking.
TRAVELING SOLO
Solo travelers are welcome to our tours. You will meet with other travelers and find opportunity to share your experiences with others in our small group tours. Normally, you will be paired with another traveler with the same gender. If you don’t feel comfortable to share your room with others, you can pay single supplement to have your own room. The amount of single supplement differs based on the tour. You can derive information about single supplement from tour information pages.
ROOM TYPES
Most of our tours are designed and priced based on a twin-shared room basis, which might be double or twin room. However, single, triple or multi shared arrangements are possible based on passenger’s requests. Please let us know your room preferences at the time of booking a tour. Note that single room is subject to pay extra single supplement.
VISA INFORMATION
You can derive detailed information about visa requirements of your country from Turkish Foreign Ministry Official Website from the following link: http://www.mfa.gov.tr/general-information-about-turkish-visas.en.mfa You can also apply online visa if your country is eligible for online visa from https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ However, we suggest our customers to check with their local embassy for visa requirements if you are not sure. If you need any documentation to apply for visa please just let us know and we will provide relevant documents for you.
INSURANCE
Everyone in the tour is insured by the Travel Health Insurance required by TURSAB-Association of Turkish Travel Agencies, official tour authorization service in the nation and it is included in tour prices. This insurance only covers liability for medical and health issues such as illness, accident, repatriation in case of death, emergency medical transportation, and medical consultancy during the tour. This insurance doesn’t cover flight miss, cancellation etc. We encourage our customers to have full coverage travel insurances to secure their flight tickets, unexpected circumstances etc.

MEALS
We are delicate about meals for our customers. If meal is covered by us, we arrange nice, reliable local restaurants. If you pay your meal, we arrange restaurants based on your preferences. We make sure that you taste popular local food at different destinations. We offer Vegetarian and Vegan food options on request. Simply let us know the food option that you prefer. We are also sensitive about Halal and Kosher based on your preferences. For all meals we offer standard menu with different choices for the customers. Alcoholic beverages and any demands out of the menu are subject for extra.
TRANSPORTATION
The type of the transportation differs based on the tour type. No matter what is the tour type, we use comfortable, air-conditioned, tourism transportation certified (D2 Certification in Turkey) cars in our tours. During the tour, all transportation services in the area are carried out by authorized and experienced personnel. If requested we also provide air tickets all around the world. If you are willing to buy your airplane ticket, we will provide airports transfers which is included in tour price.
ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation policy is to host you at highest quality places with affordable and reasonable prices, taking into consideration of your preferences. Your accommodation is arranged at the most exclusive and decent places of the region at preferable higher quality of hotels, chalets and tableland houses based on the availability of accommodation facilities through tour flow.
PRICING
Our pricing policy is to offer high quality service with the most reasonable price guarantee. Issues such as the number of tour participants, program content, accommodation requests and transportation options shape the pricing range.
RESPONSIBILITY
Sunnova Travel Agency claims no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or schedule change due to weather, strike, natural disaster or any other cause beyond Sunnova’s control. We act in good faith, and cannot be held responsible for any agent, hotel, coach operator, airline, guide, restaurant or any other person’s or company’s acts, defaults or delays.
CHANGES
Sunnova Travel Agency reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. In the case of any changes to flights (domestic and international) or to scheduled travel by cruise, ferry, bus or train, the passenger is responsible for additional costs incurred as a result of such changes (e.g., additional nights at a hotel, meals, transfers, etc.). We therefore advise all customers to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies besides our liability travel insurance.
